Who We Are

CityLight is a Christian community located in north Spokane. We are dedicated to serving our neighbors because we believe that is precisely what Jesus has called us to do. Our two previous churches (Northside and Sunrise Churches of Christ) became one united church in September of 2024 so that we can better use our resources to make a difference in our community. We have big dreams of using our facilities and our efforts to show God’s love in tangible and practical ways, and we invite you to be a part of that as we serve God together.

What We Believe

CityLight Church is not a part of any denomination. However, our heritage is in the Restoration Movement (Christian Churches/Churches of Christ) and our practices and beliefs, shaped by scripture, are in line with that tradition. We believe that Jesus is the son of God, and that he came to earth as both a sacrifice for our sins and a model of how to live a holy life. We baptize by full immersion all those who come to believe in Jesus. We believe that baptism is an important and needed step in the life of a follower of Jesus. We take communion each and every Sunday as a way to remind ourselves of what God has done for us and what God has called us to do in this world. Our church family is made up of people with all sorts of church backgrounds and experiences, and we do not all agree on everything. However, we do see these beliefs and practices as central and foundational to our church life.
